About Sunshine Speechie
Hey there! I'm Nancy Hillman, the founder of Sunshine Speechie. My story starts when I was an out-of-major Junior at Clemson University. I was completely clueless about how to get into Speech Language Pathology Grad school, and as a result was totally unprepared!

It wasn't until an older girl in my sorority shared with me the arduous process of applying to SLP grad school (taking the GRE, ASHA required prerequisites, limited options of out-of-major applicants) that I realized how behind I was!

That got me thinking... If I didn't know any of this information, how many others were out there like me? It was then that I got the crazy idea to found my own student organization, the Pre-Occupational and Speech Therapy Club - a community to guide individuals hoping to go into the OT and SLP fields.

Our club grew like crazy, and I absolutely loved mentoring other students with the resources I had gained. I wanted to extend my platform even further, but I wasn't sure I had what it takes. Then...

I got into the #1 program in the country! I finally decided that was the push I needed and got to work on Sunshine Speechie!
Sunshine Speechie is comprised of a podcast, Youtube channel, and Instagram. On my podcast I interview guests ranging from expert SLPs to current undergraduate students who have advice to share! On my Youtube I share my own tips and experiences for getting into graduate school and more!
